1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Kahala Nui A'o Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 by the Kahala Nui Residents Association to benefit employees or dependents of employees of Kahala Senior Living Community, Inc. The donor requires applicants to be an employee or employee dependent of Kahala Senior Living Community, Inc. with at least six months of active employment prior to the application deadline. Dependent is defined as an employee's child, stepchild, adopted child or foster child placed by an authorized placement agency. Applicants must meet the minimum standards for admission to a post-secondary academic institution. Applicants must also attend a post-secondary institution. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress with the academic institution. Preference will be given to students who attend an institution on the island of Oahu. Preference will also be given to those who intend to major in the following fields of study: nursing, medicine, dietary, gerontology, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, counseling, psychology, psychiatry, art therapy/art education, dance therapy, music therapy/music education, dental, pharmacology, elder law, non-profit management.
