1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Essential Visionaries Scholarship Fund offers renewable scholarships to students pursuing degrees or certificates in education, counseling, psychology, or nursing through college or vocational school programs. This program is dedicated to empowering future professionals committed to making a meaningful impact, particularly within K-12 school systems and healthcare fields. Applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, GED graduates, or current college undergraduates residing in the United States. They must be pursuing a degree or certificate with a major in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Pre-Nursing or Nursing. Applicants pursuing education, counseling, social work, or psychology must demonstrate a commitment to working within the K-12 system. Nursing applicants are not required to demonstrate K-12 system involvement. Certification programs must be through an accredited institution, follow a standard academic semester calendar, and be a minimum of one semester/term in length. If selected as a recipient, students attending vocational-technical or two-year institutions will receive an award of up to $5,000; students attending four-year institutions will receive an award of up to $10,000. Awards may be renewed for up to four additional years or until a bachelor's degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Three essays are required.
