The Heroes Fund Scholarship covers all remaining tuition and class fees once financial aid and military aid have been applied. The student must be a recipient of the prestigious Purple Heart or rated 50-100 percent disabled by the Department of Veterans Affairs for a combat-related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or 50-100 percent disabled for a combat-related injury, illness, or condition, or a spouse was killed in action during one of the Gulf wars. The Heroes Fund Scholarship (HFS) is offered to service members and honorably discharged Gulf War veterans pursuing their first Certificate, Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree. A complete HFS application will include all of the general document requirements below, as well as the appropriate qualifying documents, and any additional supporting documents that are determined as needed.
