Intercollegiate athletic scholarships are awarded each year to entering students upon recommendation of the respective coaching staffs. The University of Dayton competes at the NCAA Division I level and is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference for all sports except football. The football program competes in the Division One Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and is a member of the Pioneer Football League.
