The Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award is available to deserving high school juniors from each high school across the United States and internationally who embodies the spirit of Rachel Carson in his or her dedication to sustainability and community development. The student must be nominated by a teacher, school counselor, or advisor. Nominated students should have a strong focus on environmental ethics and engagement, social justice, leadership, and stewardship within their community and school.
