The Appalachian Excellence Scholarships are awarded to top first-year students with a strong academic record. Students are automatically considered for this one-time scholarship if they meet the early-action deadlines. Students may apply by Nov. 15 and submit all supplemental materials by Nov. 30 to guarantee consideration for most university scholarships. Additional essays are not required.
