The Woodford R. Porter Scholarship is available to first-time freshmen students entering UofL in Fall 2026, residing in Kentucky and Southern Indiana (Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison, Perry, Scott, and Washington Counties). Students who have demonstrated a commitment to service, with a passion for promoting a community diverse in thought, perspective, and life experience, are encouraged to apply. All competitive scholarships require an additional scholarship application and a student-involvement resume. Other requirements can include essays, letters of recommendation, or interviews.
