The Presidential Merit Scholarships are open to entering first-time freshmen and transfer students who show exceptional academic ability. Annual award amounts pay one-half toward fall and one-half toward spring terms. Students who are non-residents and are awarded a Presidential Scholarship will also qualify to pay in-state tuition. Merit awards are guaranteed to freshmen admitted by April 1st for fall entry. Transfer students may qualify if admitted by July 31st for fall entry or January 5th for spring entry. The priority scholarship deadline for fall 2025 for freshmen students is December 1, 2025, and for transfer students is January 1, 2026.
