The Weil Family Foundation Scholarship - Preuss will be awarded to students who have resided in San Diego County for at least one year. Applicants must be current graduating seniors or students who have already graduated from The Preuss School, UCSD. They must plan to enroll at a nonprofit four-year university, community college, or career/technical school in the United States in fall. Applicants must be involved in the community through their participation in extra-curricular or religious activities, or volunteer or work experience. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation on letterhead from someone who knows them from an academic perspective. Scholars are required to identify a personal mentor by November 1st of their freshman college year. This mentor is ideally an upperclassman from a background similar to the applicant.
