1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Colachis Family Scholarship will be awarded to students who have resided in San Diego County for at least one year. They must be or have been in foster care. Applicants must be undergraduate or adult re-entry students, who plan to enroll at an accredited four-year university, community college or licensed career/technical school in fall. They must be engaged in their community through their involvement in extra-curricular, church, volunteer activities or work experience. If awarded, recipients will need to provide documentation of their current or former foster youth status after being selected as a scholarship recipient. Acceptable forms of documentation include IEP, letter from ILS worker, CASA, other foster youth serving organization, or medical paperwork.
