1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Jay Spence Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors and alumni from Jordan-Matthews High School and Chatham Charter High School in Siler City, North Carolina, and plan to continue an undergraduate or graduate education at an accredited public, private, or community college. Students should identify as Christian, exhibit strong character through a positive attitude, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. Recipients will be selected based on their character, potential for success, and level of passion. This scholarship will be awarded for up to four years. Applicants must be residents of Siler City, NC. There are no restrictions on area of study or geographic location of the college or university the student plans to attend. The scholarship may not be used at proprietary educational institutions. This scholarship is available to students planning to attend community college prior to transferring to a four-year institution.
