1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Dan and Betty Rude Scholarship offers up to $3,000 to support undergraduate students in the United States who are pursuing a degree in elementary education. Applicants must be U.S. citizens between the ages of 17 and 26, have completed at least one full year of college coursework, and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Sons of Norway membership is not required. Selection is based on academic potential, financial need, and a personal essay that addresses career goals, community involvement, and alignment with the Foundation's core values. Required materials include a short autobiography, transcripts from the most recently completed term, two letters of recommendation, and documentation of educational expenses. The award is granted for one academic year and does not cover costs from prior terms.
