The Kristopher "Skittlez" Butler Memorial Scholarship is intended for graduating high school seniors residing in Jackson County who are U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens. Preference is given to first-generation college students pursuing a major and career in sports medicine or a healthcare-related field. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 and either a combined SAT score of 1000 or an ACT composite score of 21 or higher. Full-time enrollment is required, and financial need may or may not be considered, though FAFSA filing is mandatory. Prior recipients may reapply annually through a competitive process. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
