1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Hazel Reed Baumeister Scholarship will be awarded to students showing academic excellence, extracurricular activities and a commitment to the community. The purpose of the scholarship, established in her memory, is to support high school graduates of high academic achievement who would be unable to pursue higher education without financial assistance. The selection committee looks for academic promise, documented perseverance in activities outside the classroom, the quality of the personal statement and personal characteristics such as honesty, good judgment and commitment to serving the community. Applicants must have demonstrated community involvement over a period of several years. They may be a graduating high school senior or graduate of a public or private high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County.
