The Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities Scholarship (VAMOS) Scholarship program supports exceptional graduating high school seniors from the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. High school students must be graduating seniors in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, specifically Hidalgo, Cameron, and Starr counties. Students must be Pell Grant recipients. Selected students attending the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley will receive $3,000 per year, for four years ($12,000 total). All other selected students attending other institutions will receive $5,000 per year, for four years ($20,000 total). All majors are accepted.
