The C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships once a year at the C.A.R. Spring Business Meetings. Students pursuing a real estate related degree at a California college or university may be eligible for an award by the C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation of up to $2,000 for those attending a two-year college and up to $4,000 for those enrolled in a four-year university. Applicants must be pursuing a degree for professions which are centered on, or support a career in real estate transactional activity such as Real Estate Brokerage, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Management, Real Estate Development, Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Planning, Real Estate Law, Commercial Real Estate, and other fields of study the Trustees believe worthy of consideration. Applicants must be enrolled at the time of application in a minimum of six units, including one real estate or real estate-related course. They must have completed a minimum of twelve college level course units within the last four years; and completed at least two Real Estate or Real Estate related courses. Applicants must submit two e-Letters of Recommendation, one letter must be from a faculty member on school letterhead and one letter must be from a realtor. It is optional but students may submit proof of enrollment in university showing current classwork and unofficial e-transcripts from universities/colleges attended over four years ago.
