1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance and personal support to single parent students across the state. Applicants may choose to apply for the Traditional Path or the Skilled Trade Path. Traditional Scholarships will be awarded to both full-time and part-time single-parent students pursuing an associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or certificate program. The Skilled Trade Scholarships will be awarded to any eligible single-parent student pursuing education beyond high school, including those enrolled in skilled trade programs. Whether they are working towards a career as a welder, electrician, diesel mechanic, or other in-demand trade, they are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applicants must live in the state of Arkansas or in Bowie County, Texas. Applicants must also be a legal resident of the United States (or a resident with DACA status), applying in the county where they live. They must have earned a high school diploma or GED. The applicant's household income is typically not more than 250 percent of Federal Poverty Guidelines. Applicants must be attending or planning to attend an ASPSF approved school or training program and pursuing a degree or certification that leads to employment at family-supporting wages. The Fall application is open from August 1 and closes on September 1. The Spring application is open from November 1 and closes on December 1.
