The Applegate-Jackson-Parks Future Teacher Scholarship will be awarded to an education student who exemplifies dedication to Right to Work principles. Application is open to individuals attending a U.S. institution with a major in education. High school students and undergraduates without a declared major in education are not eligible. Applicants must demonstrate potential for the successful completion of the educational requirements in a college, university, or other qualifying program. This includes supplying a copy of their most recent transcript or a copy of the acceptance letter from the school they are attending or will attend. Applicants must also demonstrate their writing ability and their understanding of both the Right to Work principles as well as the compulsory unionism problems in education by writing an original essay. Reference Applicants must provide two references (exclusive of relatives and fellow students) who are most familiar with their abilities and goals and/or experience in the field of education.
