There is no geographical restriction and researchers can apply the fellowship to the literature of Eastern European Jewish diasporas on any continent. This combined fellowship carries a stipend to defray expenses connected with research in the YIVO's archival collections and library. The required period of research is two to three months, and a public lecture by the holder is also required. Applicants must submit a summary of their research plan, specifying those YIVO resources that the applicants intend to utilize. Applicants must also provide the name and e-mail address of two academic references. They will receive an e-mail with information on how to upload a letter of reference. Please visit the fellowship's website or contact the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research for more information.
