The Second Year Nursing Scholarship will be awarded to students who are not less than a second year student nurse who is enrolled in an accredited institution. The immediate family members of a veteran will be given first preference. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States and resident of Arizona for at least one year. Applicants must be enrolled in a second year or advanced nursing program as an upper division student and carry the required hours of work with a grade average of "C" or better. Former recipients continuing degree program in nursing (R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N.) shall be given first consideration provided the applicant complies with above rules. Applicants must include three letters of reference from persons who can testify to their character, study and work habits in their application packet.
