The PSF Pilot Research Grant is intended to support the research efforts of residents, fellows, and junior faculty in order to address focused research questions, obtain preliminary data to support larger grant proposals in the future, and develop a line of research that can be carried forward into an academic career. This grant supports the preliminary or pilot phase of these research projects. Senior investigators are encouraged to use other funding mechanisms but may apply for this grant only if proposing a new research concept or novel idea for which no prior funding has been obtained. Applicants must be a MD, DO, or PhD; and hold a full-time clinical or research position where the research will be conducted. They must also be an Active, Candidate, International, or Associate member of ASPS or obtain sponsorship from an Active ASPS member at their institution. This is a requirement if the applicant is currently in their training. For multiple PIs, a sponsor is required only for the applying PI. ASPS Associate Members may apply with identified ASPS Sponsor.
