1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Pennsylvania State Grant Program is open to students who are a high school graduate as stipulated in the PA State Grant law. They must attend a postsecondary school approved by PHEAA for PA State Grant purposes. Applicants must be unconditionally admitted and enrolled in an approved program of study of at least 2 academic years in length. If enrolled at an institution that is not headquartered and domiciled in Pennsylvania, applicants must be enrolled in a program of study where at least 50 percent of the total credit or clock hours needed for completion of the program are earned through classroom instruction. Applicants must have made satisfactory academic progress and must not have already earned a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Applicants must also be of satisfactory character (for example, not be incarcerated). They must not have received the maximum number of PA State Grants permitted; and not be in default on an educational loan. First-time applicants may apply until May 1, prior to the academic year, if they plan to enroll in a degree program or a college transferable program at a 2-year private college or other college or university (excludes community colleges and designated Pennsylvania Open-Admission institutions). First-time applicants may apply until August 1, prior to the academic year, if they plan to enroll in a community college; a designated Pennsylvania Open-Admission institution; a business, trade, or technical school; a hospital school of nursing; or a 2-year program that is not transferable to another institution. Renewal applicants may also apply until May 1. Summer-term applicants may apply until August 15. Please visit the award's website for more information.
