The Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant Program (GTEG) encourages students to attend eligible private colleges in Georgia by providing assistance towards educational costs. The GTEG program is non-need-based funding. To be eligible, students must be U.S. citizens or nationals of the U.S. or have evidence from INS of eligible permanent resident alien status. They must be an undergraduate student in a program of study leading to a college degree; and meet the eligible postsecondary institution's Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy. Students have two options when applying for the GTEG. They may complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the online Georgia Student Finance Application (GSFAPP).
