The Iowa Tuition Grant (ITG) Program assists Iowa residents currently enrolled or planning to enroll at least part-time (3 hours minimum) in associate or bachelor degree programs in eligible and independent colleges/universities in Iowa. Students studying abroad or taking courses through a consortium agreement through the home institution in Iowa are eligible, as long as they are enrolled at an eligible home institution; receive credit from that home institution; and pay tuition and fees at the home institution. Students with Bachelors' degrees may receive ITG if they enroll in undergraduate degree programs to receive additional Bachelors' degrees. Students seeking their initial teacher certification in the State of Iowa may receive ITG. Applicants must submit through FAFSA, which includes an eligible Expected Family Contribution (EFC) in it, by July 1. Recipients can receive grants for up to four years of full-time, undergraduate study. The maximum ITG for the 2020-2021 academic year is $6,200.
