The Gerrit R. Ludwig Scholarship Fund was established for the benefit of high school graduates of a public high school in East Hawai'i (Honoka'a to Ka'u). The donor requires applicants to major in a degree in fine arts or classics, including or closely related to: theatre/performing arts, ceramics/sculpture, literature/writing, art, painting, dance, drawing, music, photography, and/or philosophy. Applicants must attend an accredited, four-year institution within the US, including US territories.
