The Betty Black Hatchett scholarship is awarded to a collegian or alumna member of the Fraternity who is part of a college chapter and will pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree during the academic year the scholarship is given. If no one meets this, it will be awarded to a collegian or alumna member of the Fraternity who will pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree. If there are still no applicants, the scholarship will be given to any collegian or alumna member of the Fraternity who will pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree during that academic year. To be eligible for Theta Foundation scholarships, you must be a college or alumna member of Kappa Alpha Theta in good standing with the Fraternity.
