The University of Akron Driving Opportunity Scholarship is available to new domestic first-year students from a socioeconomically disadvantaged background. Students must be the first generation in their family to attend college. Applicants must intend to major in one of the following programs: Accounting, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Sales Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration - Undecided, and Engineering - Exploratory.
