The Korean-American Scholarship Foundation Eastern Regional Chapter Scholarships will be awarded to students who must be of Korean heritage. Applicants may be a direct descendant of a Korean War Veteran who served in Korea from June 25, 1950 - January 31, 1955 (Korean War Era, as designated by the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs). Applicants must be or will be a student at a school in one of the designated Eastern region states during the full 2026-2027 school year. High school sophomores, juniors and seniors may apply and recipients will be determined based on achievement, not on financial need. High school seniors with plans to attend college during the 2026-2027 school year; current college freshmen, sophomores and juniors; college seniors planning to attend a graduate or professional school during the 2026-2027 school year; and current graduate students continuing their studies during the 2026-2027 school year are all eligible to apply for a scholarship. Students who reside in, or will reside in, the US during the 2026-2027 school year, whether US citizens or foreign nationals, are all welcome to apply. There are different application links and requirements for high school students, college students, graduate students, and veteran descendants. Please make sure to apply and submit based on what is appropriate for you. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Korean American Scholarship Foundation for more information.
