The Elmhurst University Presidential Scholarship is available to first-year students starting in Fall 2026. Scholarships for incoming high school students are awarded considering a student's weighted GPA, grade patterns, level of curriculum, strength of the core curriculum, or dual credit throughout their high school career. Along with the high school transcript, a student's demonstrated writing skills or test scores are also considered. Students can strengthen their consideration by submitting a well-written personal statement or a graded English assignment. All students who apply for admission are automatically considered for scholarships. Students applying test-optional must submit their essays. An essay is required in lieu of standardized test scores. If the student is not applying test-optional, they must submit their SAT or ACT scores.
