1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Mustang Scholars Program seeks to identify talented students from low socioeconomic backgrounds who are graduating from high schools located in Dallas County, Texas. This scholarship is open to students who are accepted into SMU for the fall semester following high school graduation and have a financial need, with verified Pell Grant eligibility as defined by the FAFSA or equivalent demonstrated by the TASFA. Recipients must meet grade requirements while enrolled at SMU. The student is expected to have a 2.5 cumulative GPA, successfully complete 75 percent of courses attempted, and maintain full-time student status. Students are automatically considered for merit-based academic scholarships, including the Mustang Scholars Program, upon applying admission to SMU.
