The Medical, Urban, and Veterinary Entomology (MUVE) Student Recognition Awards will recognize outstanding M.S. and Ph.D students who demonstrated successful academic performance, and applied themselves through research, teaching, and service. This award recognizes MUVE student members who have demonstrated excellence in the Medical, Urban and/or Veterinary Entomology. The number and diversity of awards may vary based on funding and applications, but MUVE aims to recognize three PhD students and three MS students. The nominee must be an ESA member affiliated with the MUVE Section at time of nomination. Nominees must not have completed their degree program within one year at the time of presentation of the award (annual meeting). Nominees must not have previously received the award for which they are nominated. A nomination letter from the academic advisor and the research abstract for the thesis or dissertation must be submitted.
