The Douglas Warne - Rolf and Wenche Eng Scholarship offers up to $3,000 to support American and Canadian students pursuing post-secondary study in Norway. Eligible applicants must be current members of Sons of Norway or the children or grandchildren of members with active status; those applying under a parent or grandparent's membership must be under age 26. Students without family ties to Sons of Norway may apply with the support of an advocate or representative. The scholarship is open to individuals with at least one year of college credit who plan to attend a Folk High School, Oslo International Summer School, or undergraduate program in any field. Selection is based on academic potential, financial need, and a personal essay addressing career goals, community involvement, and alignment with the Foundation's core values. Required materials include a short autobiography, transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and documentation of educational expenses. The award is for one academic year and excludes funding for prior room, board, or travel costs.
