The George & Eleanor Tomey Memorial Scholarship is a one-time award for graduating students from Pomperaug High School, Nonnewaug High School, or Oxford High School. Recipients should rank in the upper 60 percent of their class, with preference to students who rank in the middle deciles. Application is available to graduating high school seniors only. First-time applicants must have a FAFSA Student Aid Index (SAI) below $40,000. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, clergy member, guidance counselor, or other community member who they think can best speak to their character, achievements, and potential.
