1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Blackman Family Scholarship will be awarded to graduates of Portland Public High Schools, North Clackamas High School, David Douglas High School or Centennial School District. GED and home-schooled graduates from Clackamas, Damascus, Gresham, Happy Valley, Johnson City, Milwaukie, or Portland are also eligible. Applicants must have a GPA between 2.0-2.4. Applicants must also be first-generation college attendees, with preference for first-generation immigrants to the United States. Preference will also be given to applicants with evidence in their Activities Chart of participation in school activities. Students may attend colleges in any 2- or 4-year, public or private, nonprofit, Title IV postsecondary school in the United States. Prior recipients may apply-compete annually. February 15 is the Early Bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all materials to be submitted to OSAC.
