1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Sylvia Henry Memorial Scholarship gives preference to graduating seniors from Douglas County public high schools and supports students pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in Enology or Viticulture. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate interest in a hospitality-related career, with preference for those aiming to work in wine-making. Eligible students must enroll at least half time (6 credits or more) and file a FAFSA or ORSAA, as financial need is a consideration. Non-Oregon residents who do not list an Oregon institution on the FAFSA must upload pages 1 and 2 of their FAFSA Submission Summary to be considered. The scholarship may be received for a maximum of four years. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion for more information.
