The Mary Elizabeth Guest Scholarship is intended for graduates of Oregon high schools who are pursuing careers in special education, with a strong preference for those committed to teaching students with severe and profound disabilities. Applicants must attend a four-year public or nonprofit institution and demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA, which is required. The scholarship is not open to graduating high school seniors and may be renewable for students who meet renewal criteria. Non-Oregon residents must upload their FAFSA Submission Summary if Oregon institutions are not selected, as this documentation is required for financial need consideration. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
