1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Each year, Cafe Bustelo offers multiple Cafe Bustelo El Cafe Del Futuro Scholarships to college students at institutions that are members of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). The scholarship is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, D.C. and Puerto Rico. This year, applicants were asked to write an essay (in English or Spanish) about three topics: (1) How they celebrate Latin culture with family, friends or community. (2) How these cultural experiences influenced their desire and motivation to obtain a college degree. (3) How they plan to use their education to further support and uplift your community or profession. The applicants with the 40 highest scores will be notified to submit the following supporting documents by August 8, 2025: letter of recommendation from a school advisor, community leader or mentor that includes a description of how the student has demonstrated commitment to his/her education and community; enrollment verification form; official transcript from the college or university attending; attestation statement that applicant applied and received financial aid for the 2025-2026 academic year; and attestation statement that applicant is considered first-generation college student.
