The Wayne Nelson, KB4UT, Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to those with any active amateur radio license. Preference will be given to applicants who are Central Florida hams (Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Volusia, Brevard and Polk Counties); if no suitable applicant is found, preference will be given to hams from the State of Florida. Applicants must be pursuing a field of study in the technical field in any accredited four-year college or university. Applicants must have a demonstrated previous grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale in high school or in the previous undergraduate year. Applicants must submit transcripts which must cover the applicant's entire high school career to date and, if in college, must include all semesters for which grades have been awarded.
