The Erik Nielsen Scholarship is designed to support nontraditional students who have been out of school for at least three years and up to twenty, demonstrating a strong commitment to personal growth through education. Preference is given to GED recipients, followed by high school graduates and undergraduates who have been out of school for three or more years. Applicants must enroll at least half-time at an Oregon public or nonprofit institution and must not hold a bachelor's degree. Financial need is assessed via FAFSA, and the scholarship may be renewed annually for up to four years. Non-Oregon residents must submit specific FAFSA documentation to be considered. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion for more information.
