The Home Building Foundation - Jim Irvine Statewide Scholarship supports students pursuing careers in Oregon's built environment, with a strong preference for those studying civil engineering and construction. Eligible majors include architecture, engineering, interior and landscape architecture, and construction-related disciplines, while qualifying career fields span site management, drafting, design technology, HVAC, and engineering technology. Applicants must attend a Title IV postsecondary institution in Oregon - public or private, nonprofit or for-profit, and be enrolled at least half time. Financial need is assessed via FAFSA, and awards may be renewed annually for up to four years. A 350-500 word essay is required, highlighting the personal influences and experiences that shaped the applicant's career path. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
