The Dave Nelsen Scholarship will be awarded to students who are currently attending or planning to attend a technical college or trade school within the next 12 months. This includes technicians currently pursuing licensing or other advanced education. Applicants must be pursuing their education in the HVAC-R or plumbing field. They must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a program with an oil heat/Bio-Fuel course as part of their overall curriculum. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from their HVAC or plumbing instructor or mentor. It is optional but applicants may also submit a short personal video to speak of their interest in this scholarship and why they should be considered. In order to receive the scholarship, recipients must attend the OESP Awards Banquet in Uncasville, CT. Extenuating circumstances may be considered but must be documented on a separate sheet of paper along with the application.
