1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The First Generation Matching Grant Program is a need-based grant program available to degree-seeking, resident, undergraduate students who demonstrate substantial financial need, and are enrolled in eligible participating postsecondary institutions. Eligible students must have a parent(s) who has not earned a baccalaureate or higher degree. Participating institutions determine application procedures, deadlines, student eligibility and award amount. This program is available at Florida state universities and Florida College System institutions, including public community colleges. Applicants must be accepted at a state university or institution and enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours per term as a degree-seeking undergraduate student. They must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. Applicants must not have previously received a baccalaureate degree. A student should consult the postsecondary institution for renewal, reinstatement, or restoration requirements established by the institution.
