1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Alaska Geological Society Scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled as a BA, BS, MS, or PhD candidate in geoscience or equivalent degree program. They must have a project or thesis/dissertation topic focused on Alaskan geology or related geoscience topics. Previous awardees shall be additionally required to provide the Scholarship Committee with a summary of how previous funds were used. Applicants for Alaska Geological Society scholarships may not be related to any member or to any family member of the Scholarship Committee or Board of Directors of the Society. Applicants must submit a project description if they are an undergraduate student, or a copy of your thesis proposal if they are a graduate student. A minimum of two letters of recommendation from those familiar with the applicant's academic record is also required. A third letter may be included if it contains important additional information.
