1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
One of the multiple awards that may be given, the H. H. Dow Memorial Student Achievement Award, aims to recognize promising young engineers and scientists in the field of electrochemical engineering. The ECS IE&EE Division's establishment of this award in 1990 was made possible by a gift from The Dow Chemical Company Foundation honoring the memory of Herbert Henry Dow. Candidates must be enrolled in a college or university or have been accepted for enrollment as a graduate student by the nomination deadline. Self nominations are not accepted. Nominations are for one year only. Renomination is allowed if the candidate continues to meet the eligibility criteria. A complete nomination package includes completed electronic award nomination form; transcripts of all post-secondary school academic work; overview of the student's current research project; statement describing the project's relationship to the field of electrochemical engineering or applied electrochemistry; curriculum vitae or resume; and a letter of recommendation from the nominee's research supervisor.
