The Peter Kong-ming New Award is an annual student research competition in the applied social and behavioral sciences. The competition is open to any graduate or undergraduate student registered at a college or university during the calendar year immediately preceding the presentation of the award. Students who have previously earned a doctorate are not eligible for the competition. To be considered, students should submit a previously unpublished manuscript based on original field research in the social sciences. The competition is limited to manuscripts by a single author. Submissions for the competition must report on field-based research that addresses the application of the social sciences to issues related to health care or human services. All awardees receive $350 to offset transportation and lodging costs for the SfAA annual meeting. Please visit the award's website for more information.
