1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The North Carolina Veterans Scholarships Class I-A will be awarded to students with a veteran parent who was killed or died in wartime service or died as a result of service-connected conditions incurred in wartime service as defined by law. The scholarship may be used for four academic years if used within 8 years at public community and technical colleges or institutes or at private colleges or junior colleges. High school seniors, high school graduates and college students are eligible to apply. Applicants must submit their transcript of high school grades through junior year if a senior in high school and they don't have senior grades. If they have already graduated high school, applicants must provide a complete transcript of high school grades. A copy of the applicant's birth certificate showing the name of the veteran parent(s) must also be submitted. If the veteran parent is not listed, applicants must then provide proof of parentage. If the applicant is the veteran's stepchild, they must then submit a copy of their parent's marriage certificate. Two completed NCDMVA-23B(3) forms or recommendation forms are also required. At least one recommendation must be from a teacher, guidance counselor, professor or academic counselor.
