The AIChE Minority Affairs Community's Scholarship Awards for Incoming College Students is presented to selected AIChE undergraduate student members annually. Applicants must be high school seniors, planning to enroll during the 2026-2027 academic year in a four-year college or university offering a science or engineering degree. Students are encouraged to choose classes leading to a degree in chemical engineering. While students admitted for science and engineering degrees are encouraged to apply for this scholarship, preference will be given to students admitted into chemical engineering degree programs. Applicants must also be a member of the AIChE MAC Community, and have shown service towards reinforcing the pillars of AIChE's IDEAL Statement. Applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation from a high school counselor, math teacher or science teacher. It is optional but applicants may also submit an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) Letter and a letter verifying Financial Need.
