1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Yanmar/SAE Scholarship is sponsored by the SAE Foundation and the generous support of the Yanmar America Corp. With the motto "to conserve energy is to serve mankind," Yanmar founder Magokichi Yamaoka was quick to recognize the value of the diesel engine over the kerosene engines that Yanmar originally built. Given the urgency of limited fuel supplies and environmental concerns over continued use of fossil fuel, Yanmar established this scholarship to help promote their philosophy. Applicants must be pursuing a course of study or research related to the conservation of energy in transportation, agriculture and construction, and power generation through a U.S. ABET-accredited program. Emphasis will be placed on study or research related to the internal combustion engine. Applicants must submit two Letters of Recommendation, one that focuses on academics and one that outlines the applicant's involvement in extra-curricular activities or employment. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Society of Automotive Engineers for more information.
