Established by the Board of Directors of the TKE Foundation, this scholarship recognizes Frater Wallace G. McCauley, who delivered the insightful Opportunity Out of Defeat address, which was a defining moment in the history of TKE. All of the TKE Foundation leadership and scholarship awards are for the benefit of active collegiate members of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, as of March 15, as defined by The Black Book Article VI Section 2 unless otherwise specified. This scholarship is awarded to an applicant in recognition of academic achievement with a Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 or higher who must be a junior or senior, and recognizes outstanding alumni relations at the chapter level by a Histor or committee chair who has demonstrated understanding of the importance of good alumni relations to the chapter and its members, and has excelled in the development, promotion and execution of effective programs which have increased alumni contact, awareness and participation in Fraternity activities. If there are no applicants who meet the alumni relations criteria, the scholarship will be open to any other qualified Teke, in recognition of academic achievement with a Grade Point Average of at least 2.5 or higher, and recognizes outstanding leadership within the chapter and on campus.
