The CFUW Dr. Alice E. Wilson Awards will be awarded to a mature woman returning to graduate study in any field, in Canada or abroad, after an absence of at least three years. There are four awards, two for Master's study and two for PhD. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada; or have proof of status as a Protected Person from Immigration and Citizenship Canada. Applicants must have enrolled or have been accepted to a Master's or Doctoral program, at an accredited university, for the 2026-2027 academic year, and be graduating spring 2027 or later. Proof of registration will be required at time of application, transcripts will not be accepted. Applicants who have not yet started their program may submit a letter of acceptance instead. Applicants must also submit two referee assessment forms. At least one of these assessments must be completed by an academic reference. The second assessment can be either from an academic reference or from a person familiar with the applicant's personal history.
